Attracting dancers from across the country, School of Philadelphia Ballet hosts its annual five-week Summer Intensive Program (SIP) in Philadelphia at the Louise Reed Center for Dance, home of the Philadelphia Ballet. Led by School Director Davit Karapetyan with world renowned SPB and guest faculty, the Summer Intensive Program offers serious-minded ballet students high-caliber ballet instruction, including classical ballet technique, pointe work, men’s classes, partnering classes, variations, repertoire, flamenco, modern, contemporary, character, dance history, music theory, body conditioning, and health and wellness classes. The program concludes with a public performance. Select students may be invited to attend the School of Philadelphia Ballet’s year-round program.

Approximately 28-30 hours of instruction per week. Classes Monday-Saturday.

Dancers enrolled in the 5-Week session will perform in a culminating showcase on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Louise Reed Center for Dance. Details to follow.

School of Philadelphia Ballet’s Health & Wellness Program is designed to equip dancers with essential knowledge and skills to support a sustainable and healthy dance career. Integrated into the Summer Intensive Program, this program features a series of 1×1 sessions, group classes, and seminars led by distinguished professionals in the dance health field. Participants will gain valuable insights into injury prevention, nutrition, and overall well-being. Offerings include:
One-Time Registration Fee: $80.00
SIP Health & Wellness Fee (2-Week & 3-Week Sessions): $150.00*
SIP Health & Wellness Fee (5-Week Session): $200.00*
2-Week Session Tuition: $1,575.00
3-Week Session Tuition: $2,350.00
5-Week Session Tuition: $3,525.00
*The Health & Wellness Fee includes all Health & Wellness classes and seminars, access to appointments with a licensed Physical Therapist, and on-site consultations with Sports Medicine Physicians from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Payment Schedules
Families registering for the Summer Intensive Program may choose to pay fees in full or in three (3) equal installments. Your preferred payment option must be selected at the time of registration.

Refund Policy
Registered students who need to withdraw due to injury must submit a letter of explanation from a licensed physician. At that time, School of Philadelphia Ballet will consider refunds towards tuition fees only. All other fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Should a student withdraw without recommendation from a licensed physician, all paid fees will be forfeited to SPB. School of Philadelphia Ballet is not liable or obligated in any way to process refunds or issue any tuition credits. Refunds or tuition credits will not be given for classes missed due to illness, injury, vacation, or weather.
Students auditioning for the Summer Intensive Program (SIP) may be eligible to receive a partial or full merit scholarship towards their SIP tuition. There is no application process to be considered for a merit scholarship, and all students will be considered at the time of audition. Students will be notified if they have received a merit scholarship within their acceptance email. All scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be deferred to future programs. Scholarships are not available for the Summer Residence Program. Financial aid is not available for our summer programs.
Scholarships must be redeemed within two (2) weeks of receipt to be applied towards our programs. Accepted scholarships will be applied equally across tuition payments.
