The Philadelphia Ballet Center for Dance will house rehearsal studios, administrative offices, and performance and communal spaces, expanding the company’s community presence and impact.

Once completed, the project will dramatically enlarge our current footprint on North Broad Street. The five-story Center for Dance will feature new rehearsal studios, performance venues, administrative offices, community gathering spaces, and state-of-the-art capabilities for dance training, community education, programming, and events.

Elements of this major building project include:

A full renovation of the company’s current footprint, including its three and a half rehearsal studio spaces, and the addition of three new double-floored studios

A multipurpose Dance Innovation Lab suitable for community events, special events, film screens, and school and other performances for 120 to 150 people

The addition of a large, dynamic gathering space featuring a gallery wall to showcase local artists, and space for community events, educational programming, and special receptions

A Cyber School Room for School of Philadelphia Ballet Students

A new physical training center and other state-of-the-art amenities

A bright, double-height Company Studio will look out onto onto Broad Street.
