Led by School of Philadelphia Ballet Director Davit Karapetyan, PBII offers unparalleled training and performance opportunities, providing the experiences young dancers need to join a company of professionals. Dancers perform a diverse range of work from classical to contemporary and are invited to perform in Philadelphia Ballet’s main stage productions throughout the year.
PBII also serves as the organization’s community ambassadors, inspiring audiences throughout the greater Philadelphia area with professional quality productions and lecture demonstrations. Each year they serve thousands of individuals through school shows and public performances at community venues. These unique opportunities give dancers in Philadelphia Ballet II invaluable learning experiences, expanding their technique and artistry while offering a unique insight into the life of a professional dancer.
School of Philadelphia Ballet Professional Program students have the opportunity to perform with Philadelphia Ballet company dancers in a number of productions throughout the season, such as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker(R). Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Bayadere, Don Quixote, and many more.
Every year at SPB concludes with a Spring Performance in May to showcase the talents of all students.
