Auditions for the Summer Intensive Program, Choreographic Workshop, and Company Experience

AUDITION TOUR

Auditions are now open to all students ages 12-21! Join us in person on our 2024 Audition Tour by registering at the link below. Registration for each location is confirmed on a first-come, first-serve basis; advanced registration is highly encouraged to ensure your preferred location. The advanced registration fee for our in-person audition tour is $50.00.

Walk-in auditions are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, as space allows. The fee for a walk-in audition is $55.00. Payment by credit or debit card only; no cash or check accepted.

Audition registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to change your audition date or submit a video audition, please contact the SPB administration team at [email protected].

The 2024 live audition tour has concluded.

Audition Classes: While our live audition tour has concluded, students may attend a class at SPB for consideration. For more information, please contact the SPB team at [email protected].

APPLY BY VIDEO

Students who are unable to attend a live audition are invited to apply for the Summer Intensive Program, Choreographic Workshop, and Company Experience by video. Video auditions will be accepted on a rolling basis. The fee to submit a video audition is $50.00.

Video submissions will not be accepted after May 31, 2024.

Video Audition Guidelines:
Video auditions should be a maximum of 15 minutes in length. Applicants should begin their video with a short introduction including their name, age, birthdate, and current training facility. The video audition should include the following:

• A short barre showing plies, tendus, fondu, adagio, and grand battement. (one side only)
• Centerwork including an adagio, pirouettes en dehor and en dedans, petit and grand allegro.
• Female-identifying students must demonstrate pointework, including one-legged relevé on both sides, échappé, and pirouettes.
• Male-identifying students must include batterie and tours en l’air.

REGISTER FOR A VIDEO AUDITION

NATIONAL SUMMER INTENSIVE AUDITION TOUR (NSIA)

School of Philadelphia Ballet joins 13+ premiere ballet schools from around the country to provide a virtual audition opportunity for Philadelphia-area dancers. Dancers need only attend a single, in-person audition at our Philadelphia location to be considered by participating ballet companies. The fee to participate in the 2024 NSIA audition tour is $125.00 (non-refundable and non-transferable).

ACCEPTANCE AND REGISTRATION

Live audition applicants will receive notification of their audition results via email within two (2) weeks of their audition. Video audition applicants will be notified of their audition results via email within two (2) weeks of submission.

Registration for the Summer Intensive Program, Choreographic Workshop, and Company Experience is highly competitive and processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. When full capacity is reached, remaining students will be placed on a waitlist. Select students from the Summer Intensive may be invited to attend School of Philadelphia Ballet’s full-year Professional Program. Register fast to ensure your spot in our summer programs!

Current students are eligible to register for SPB’s summer programs without an audition. Registration information for current SPB students will be available in December 2023.
