School of Philadelphia Ballet is excited to offer its Summer Youth Program at the Louise Reed Center for Dance. This program is designed for dancers ages 7-12.

Intense study is a necessary addition to a young dancer’s trajectory in the pursuit of serious classical dance training. School of Philadelphia Ballet’s Summer Youth Program (SYP), designed for ages 7-12, will help students establish the essential elements of a classical ballet foundation, with a focus on strengthening technique and the introduction and expansion of increasing dance vocabulary.

All SYP students will take classes in ballet technique, improvisation, dance history, body conditioning, and jazz (and/or other developmentally appropriate movement styles.) Pointe, if applicable, will be added and/or introduced to specific students during the SYP 2024.
