Experience the artistry and discipline of classical ballet at the Evelyn Ebo Ballet Boot Camp, hosted by School of Philadelphia Ballet. Established in 2020 by Evelyn Ebo, former ballet dancer and Philadelphia Ballet trustee, this week-long intensive is designed for dancers ages 8-18 in the Greater Philadelphia area. This supplemental pathway program aims to identify high-potential students from under-represented backgrounds in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and New York who have not otherwise had access to classical ballet training.
The Evelyn Ebo Ballet Boot Camp offers a unique opportunity for dancers interested in pursuing a career in classical dance. The program features a comprehensive curriculum led by experienced instructors from School of Philadelphia Ballet with guest appearances by Philadelphia Ballet artistic staff and SPB’s distinguished alumni.
Students will benefit from a well-rounded curriculum throughout the week, including classical ballet technique, modern and contemporary, beginner flamenco, pre-pointe or pointe work, and professional development workshops. Additionally, students will have the chance to explore repertoire, learn about the ballet industry, and receive valuable insights into pursuing a career in dance. Students participating in the program may be considered for scholarship opportunities for SPB’s year-round and summer programs.
The Evelyn Ebo Ballet Boot Camp is an opportunity to receive world-class training, connect with industry professionals, and lay the foundation for a successful career in ballet.
