Spring Adult Ballet Workshop

April 14-18, 2025
Louise Reed Center for Dance
323 N Broad Street | Philadelphia, PA 19107

Join the Spring Adult Ballet Workshop at the home of the Philadelphia Ballet! Designed for adults with prior ballet experience, this workshop is an excellent opportunity to refine your technique, learn new dance styles, and connect with other ballet enthusiasts.

Participants can choose between two levels:

  • Intro/Beginner Track: Includes ballet technique, stretch/strength, flamenco, contemporary, and repertoire. Dancers in this level have a working knowledge of ballet posture and positions, as well as foundational movements pliébattement tendu, and relevé. This level is also ideal for the dancer who is returning to ballet from time away.
  • Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Track: Includes ballet technique, pre-pointe/pointe, stretch/strength, flamenco, and variations/repertoire. Dancers in this level have been actively taking ballet in recent years and are confident with classical ballet curriculum.

Under the guidance of the School of Philadelphia Ballet’s expert instructors, participants will improve their ballet technique, alignment, and musicality while exploring repertoire from famous ballets. The workshop offers a well-rounded curriculum designed to deepen participants’ understanding of ballet and other dance styles in a supportive and engaging environment.
