Update from School of Philadelphia Ballet

Continuing his efforts to protect the health and safety of students and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Tom Wolf has announced that all schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. Schools will remain closed though the end of the 2019-2020 academic year as it is defined by the local school calendar. (June 15th by the Philadelphia School District Calendar.) Therefore, School of Philadelphia Ballet will be closed until further notice pursuant to the Governor’s order. Under the state’s directive, schools could begin summer programming on the day after their academic year ends

The health and safety of our SPB families and our greater community remains our primary concern. As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves it is difficult to predict the timeline of our return. As such, our Summer programming remains undefined and we are working on various scenarios should it be necessary to alter our scheduled programming due to safety and recovery mandates. We will keep you informed of summer programing decisions as soon as we have additional information.
