School of Philadelphia Ballet offers the highest caliber dance education of any program in the Greater Philadelphia area, providing our students with exceptional technical training and unparalleled performance opportunities. School of Philadelphia Ballet is proud to present our programs at two studio locations for dancers ages 3+.
Ages 3-24
Spend your summer at School of Philadelphia Ballet! SPB offers a transformative experience designed for aspiring dancers eager to refine their technique, build artistry, and explore their passion for ballet in a supportive and inspiring environment. Our summer offerings cater to students of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to advanced dancers on the cusp of professional careers. Led by renowned faculty and guest artists, our programs provide rigorous training in classical ballet, contemporary styles, and repertoire, along with unique opportunities to work closely with Philadelphia Ballet artistic staff. Join us this summer to elevate your skills, connect with a community of dedicated dancers, and take the next step in your ballet journey.
Ages 3-7 | No Experience Required
The Children’s Program introduces young dancers to the joy of movement and the foundations of ballet through music, games, props, and imaginative play. Each class is designed to be a positive and engaging experience, fostering a sense of self-worth and enthusiasm for learning.
Our Children’s Programs have an open enrollment policy—no audition is required. Please note that space is limited and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Children’s Program is available at both our Philadelphia and West Berlin/Voorhees locations!
Ages 8+ | Audition Required
In the Student Program, dancers undergo a transformative journey of disciplined training, refined etiquette, and enriched classical ballet vocabulary. Our structured classes emphasize the importance of technique and expression. School of Philadelphia Ballet instructors guide students with a keen focus on developing finer motor skills and enhancing turn-out, imparting not only the “how” but also the “why” behind each technique taught at their level.
An audition is required for dancers who would like to participate in the Student Program. The Student Program is available at both our Philadelphia and West Berlin/Voorhees locations!
Ages 12-21 | Audition Required
The Pre-Professional Program is designed for advanced students who are training at an intensive level and preparing for a career in classical ballet. Dancers in this program are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, a high level of technical proficiency, and a deep commitment to their training. Faculty offer individualized mentorship to support each dancer’s progression—whether continuing advanced training, pursuing collegiate dance programs, or entering the professional field.
Each level of the Pre-Professional Program follows a two-year track, with opportunities for early advancement based on readiness and progress. An audition is required for dancers who would like to participate in the Pre-Professional Program. The Pre-Professional Program is available at the Philadelphia location!
Ages 14+ | No Experience Required
