Threads of Success: Stitching The Future of Costume Design

Thursday, February 27, 2025 5:30 PM–7:30PM

Now in its third year, Philadelphia Ballet’s collaboration with the talented students of Moore College of Art & Design continues to bring fresh creativity to the stage. This year, six students crafted original costumes inspired by Maurice Ravel’s Boléro. On February 27, their stunning designs will come to life during a live performance by Philadelphia Ballet dancers, featuring excerpts from Boléro in the student-made costumes.

Following the performance, Moore College President Cathy Young will moderate a thought-provoking discussion with an esteemed panel, including:

  • Holly Hynes, renowned costume designer
  • Jennifer Tierney, Wardrobe Manager for Philadelphia Ballet
  • Morgan Porter, Adjunct Professor of Fashion Design at Moore College

This captivating evening will celebrate the artistry behind dance costume design, offer insight into the field’s evolving needs, and inspire aspiring designers. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Reserve your spot to join us!
