Join Philadelphia Ballet on Saturday, October 11, as we celebrate the launch of our 2025/26 season with the Opening Weekend Gala Performance and Dinner.
The 2025 Opening Weekend Gala will be chaired by Teresa Fink and Stephen Varenhorst.
The centerpiece of this spectacular evening will be an innovative double bill of Carmen and Boléro, both choreographed by The Ruth and A. Morris Williams, Jr. Artistic Director Angel Corella. Inspired by the passion and artistry of Corella’s native Spain, with the artists of Philadelphia Ballet and the Philadelphia Ballet Orchestra led by The Louise and Alan Reed Music Director Beatrice Jona Affron, this program pairs the triumphant return of Philadelphia Ballet’s 2023 production of Carmen with Boléro, which Philadelphia Ballet premiered to great acclaim in March 2025.
The Gala Performance will also feature the presentation of the 2025 Barbara Weisberger Award, the David F. Hoffman Award for Artistic Achievement, and the Philadelphia Ballet Corporate Citizenship Award.
A festive black-tie dinner in the Grand Belle Ballroom at the Bellevue Hotel will follow the performance.
Proceeds from the Opening Weekend Gala benefit Philadelphia Ballet’s work onstage and in the community. Tickets and sponsorship packages are now available!
