A CONVERSATION WITH FIVE PIONEERING BLACK BALLERINAS

Join us as these early Dance Theater of Harlem stars Marcia Sells, Sheila Rohan, Gayle McKinney-Griffith, Karlya Shelton-Benjamin, and Lydia Abarca-Mitchell come together to fill the gap in representation, share their story and encourage the next generation of artistic excellence in dance, while reclaiming their role in dance history.

This evening will also honor leading members of the Black dance community including members of Pennsylvania Ballet’s Black alum.
