Meet Sophie

Sophie Savas-Carstens began her training at Ballet Arte Academy of Classical Ballet in San Diego, California. She attended summer intensives at The School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and San Francisco Ballet. She was a competitor in the 2018 USA Jackson International Ballet Competition, as well as a finalist in the 2018 Spotlight Music Center Program. Sophie joined Philadelphia Ballet II for our 2018/2019 Season, joined the main company as an Apprentice for the 2019/2020 Season, and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet for our 2020/2021 Season.

Sophie is a part-time student at the University of Pennsylvania where she is pursuing a degree in Literature, Culture, and Tradition.
