Mayfield Myers began her dance training at age nine in East Hampton, New York with Sara Jo Strickland. At age ten, she was invited on scholarship to attend the School of American Ballet where she studied for four years, taught by teachers including Kay Mazzo, Katrina Killian and Darci Kistler. As a student at SAB, she performed with the New York City Ballet in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, Harlequinade, Coppelia and Jerome Robbin’s Circus Polka as well as Coppelia and Harlequinade for the School of American Ballet Workshop performances. Mayfield also received training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet from Marcia Dale Weary and Miami City Ballet School. In February 2021, Mayfield competed in the Prix de Lausanne, where she danced the Gamzatti variation from La Bayadere and a variation from Le Sacre du Printemps. Additionally, she was a finalist in the Youth America Grand Prix’s International Virtual Finals 2021. Mayfield joined Philadelphia Ballet II for the 2021/2022 Season. She was promoted to the Corps De Ballet in 2022. Mayfield has performed as a Festival Artist in the Vail Dance Festival (2023,2024,2025) where she danced featured roles in George Balanchine’s Apollo (Polyhymnia) and Who Cares? (Jumping Girl), August Bournonville’s La Ventana Pas de Trois and Flower Festival in Genzano Pas de Deux and world premieres Kyle Abraham, Lauren Lovette and My’Kal Stromile. She has been invited to return for the 2026 festival.
