Meet Alberto

Alberto Gil Vicente began his dance training at the Professional Conservatory of Madrid, where he graduated with honors and received the Final Award in Classical Dance. At age 15, he was awarded a full scholarship to The Royal Ballet School in London, where he completed his pre-professional training and graduated in 2025.

His repertoire includes works by Sir Frederick Ashton (Cinderella, Les Patineurs), George Balanchine (Jewels), John Cranko (Onegin), Kenneth MacMillan (Romeo and Juliet, Manon), and Christopher Wheeldon (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland), among others.

Gil Vicente has received numerous international awards, including the Youth Grand Prix at Youth America Grand Prix, Gold Medal and Best Male Dancer at the International Ballet Competition of Havana, and First Prize at Tanzolymp, as well as top prizes at Dance Open America and other international competitions. He joined Boston Ballet II in 2025 and joins Philadelphia Ballet as an Apprentice for the 2026/27 season.
