ATTEND A LIVE AUDITION

Our 2026 Audition Tour has concluded. Dancers who wish to be considered for our 2026 Summer Programs may request an in-class audition. In-class auditions are scheduled on a rolling basis and are subject to availability through the dates listed below. The fee to schedule an in-class audition is $50.00.

APPLY BY VIDEO

Dancers who are unable to attend a live audition are invited to apply by video. Video auditions are accepted on a rolling basis until May 1, 2026. The fee to submit a video audition is $50.00.

Video Audition Guidelines:
Video auditions should be a maximum of 15 minutes in length. Applicants should begin their video with a short introduction including their name, age, birthdate, and current training facility. The video audition should include the following:

• A short barre showing plies, tendus, fondu, adagio, and grand battement. (one side only)
• Centerwork including an adagio, pirouettes en dehor and en dedans, petit and grand allegro.
• Female-identifying students must demonstrate pointework, including one-legged relevé on both sides, échappé, and pirouettes.
• Male-identifying students must include batterie and tours en l’air.

Video audition registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to change your registration to attend our live audition tour, please contact the School Office at [email protected].

How to Register for a Video Audition:

1. Complete the JackRabbit registration form linked below. Once your submission has been received, payment will be manually processed by the School Office.
2. After payment has been processed, you will receive the Summer Audition Information Form via email to submit your audition video and provide additional details about your dance experience.
3. Video audition applicants will be notified of their audition results via email within two (2) weeks of submission, beginning January 1, 2026. Video auditions are reviewed on a rolling basis.

NATIONAL SUMMER INTENSIVE AUDITION (NSIA)

School of Philadelphia Ballet joins 13+ premiere ballet schools from around the country to provide a virtual audition opportunity for Philadelphia-area dancers. Dancers need only attend a single, in-person audition at our Philadelphia location to be considered by participating ballet companies. The fee to participate in the 2026 NSIA audition tour is $150.00 (non-refundable and non-transferable). NSIA Registration has closed for 2026.

ACCEPTANCE AND REGISTRATION

Live audition applicants will receive notification of their audition results via email within two (2) weeks of their audition. Video audition applicants will be notified of their audition results via email within two (2) weeks of submission, beginning January 1, 2026.

Registration is highly competitive and processed on a first-come, first-served basis. When capacity is reached, remaining students will be placed on a waitlist. Summer Program students may be invited to attend School of Philadelphia Ballet’s year-round Pre-Professional Program or Philadelphia Ballet II.
