School of Philadelphia Ballet invites dancers ages 15-20 with strong classical and contemporary ballet backgrounds to audition for Philadelphia Ballet II (PBII), the second company of Philadelphia Ballet. Led by School of Philadelphia Ballet Director Davit Karapetyan, PBII offers exceptional training and unparalleled performance opportunities from classical to contemporary repertoire. Applicants may also be considered for School of Philadelphia Ballet’s year-round programs.

Dancers ages 15-20 are invited to join us in person a live audition. Registration for each audition location is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis; advanced registration is required. The fee to register for a live audition is $50.00. Registration fees are payable by credit card/debit card only; cash payments are not accepted.

Experience an exclusive, in-depth weekend designed for aspiring members of Philadelphia Ballet II! Participants will take classes with School of Philadelphia Ballet artistic leadership, gain insights through a Q&A with current and former Philadelphia Ballet II dancers, enjoy a guided tour of the School’s Residence Program, and receive a discount on tickets to Philadelphia Ballet’s production of The Merry Widow on Saturday, March 14th. The fee to register for the Audition Weekend is $200.00 and includes registration for the PBII Audition on Sunday, March 15.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Ballet Technique with Philadelphia Ballet Artistic Leadership

2:00 PM: Meet our Residence Program staff and take a tour of our facilities
Saturday:

Dancers who are unable to attend a live audition are invited to audition for Philadelphia Ballet II by video. Video auditions are accepted on a rolling basis until the closing date. Applicants who audition by video will be required to attend an in-person class before acceptance into the program. The fee to register for a video audition is $50.
Video Audition Guidelines:
Video auditions should be a maximum of 15 minutes in length. Applicants should begin their video with a short introduction including their name, age, birthdate, and current training facility. The video audition should include the following:

I registered for a live audition but can no longer attend. Can I submit an audition video for consideration?
Yes. To change your audition method, please contact the School Office at [email protected]. Please note that audition fees are non-refundable.
When will I be notified after my audition?
Acceptance into Philadelphia Ballet II is highly competitive and subject to open positions on the Philadelphia Ballet II roster. Invitations to join Philadelphia Ballet II and acceptances to the School’s year-round programs will be sent via email on a rolling basis within the weeks following the audition. All auditions close on March 15, 2026. Dancers will receive notification no later than June 1st.
Do you accept applications from international dancers?
Dancers must be authorized to work in the U.S. to participate in the program. School of Philadelphia Ballet is unable to sponsor visas at this time.
