Meet Jason

Hometown: Columbia, Maryland_
Jason started dancing at age 5. In 2019, he joined the Rock School for Dance Education under Bo and Stephanie Spassoff. Two years later, he began training at the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School with Ariel Serrano. He entered the World Ballet Competition, receiving a bronze medal and the choreography award. In 2022, he joined the trainee program at Sarasota Ballet School, led by director Christopher Hird. He also participated in the YAGP International Contemporary Ensemble, performing works choreographed by Ohad Naharin, Mauro Bigonzetti and Sharon Eyal. He attended the 2023 YAGP finals, where he received his offer to join Philadelphia Ballet II. Jason joined Philadelphia Ballet II during the 2023-2024 season. In his first season with PBII he was able to perform repertoire such as Angel Corella’s On Cloud 9, Helgi Tomasson’s Chaconne for Piano and Two Dancers, and Francesco Annarumma’s Orizzonte. He also had the opportunity to perform with the company in works such as Angel Corella’s CarmenGiselle, Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, and The Prodigal Son.
