Join us as we return to Board Chairman David F. Hoffman’s beautiful property in Villanova for our 5th Annual Spring Festival at Red Rose Farm, featuring outdoor performances by Philadelphia Ballet dancers and the School of Philadelphia Ballet.
This year’s event will be hosted over two evenings, consisting of a VIP Event on May 30 featuring a cocktail reception, the presentation of the Anthony Haller Volunteer of the Year Award, and a sunset performance on the lake, followed by dinner and dessert with Philadelphia Ballet artists.
On June 1, at the Family Style Picnic Event, guests are encouraged to bring friends, their own picnic, favorite wine, and picnic blanket to sprawl out on the lawn and enjoy an evening of outdoor performances.
The Company will be performing:
The program begins with Bourbon St. choreographed by Angel Corella and Russell Ducker, a high-energy homage to the nightlife of New Orleans, set to music by Louis Prima and the Barcelona Hot Angels. We then move to On Cloud 9, which is a celebration of the beautiful music and carefree attitude of the 1950’s, that transports audiences back in time. Closing the program, Suspended in Time, by Angel Corella, Russell Ducker, and Kirill Radev, which features music by rock band Electric Light Orchestra including hits such as “Strange Magic” and “I Am Alive.”
The evening will also feature a special performance by the School of Philadelphia Ballet.
We are excited to announce that this year’s “Anthony Haller Volunteer of the Year” award recipient is Philadelphia Ballet Board Member Michael C. Lillys.
At the performance on Thursday, May 30, we will honor Michael Lillys with the third annual Anthony Haller Volunteer of the Year Award, for his extraordinary 30 years of service to the now Philadelphia Ballet. Michael is a Managing Director in the Municipal Finance group of RBC Capital Markets. He was one of the original founders of the Young Friends of the Ballet when he first became involved with the company. He has served in numerous volunteer roles over the years. Michael was originally a board member from 1993 to 2006 and then served as an Emeritus Trustee from 2007 through 2013. He rejoined the board in 2014 and is currently a member of the Executive Committee in his role as Chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on several other committees including both the Strategic Initiatives and the Building Campaign Committees.
