Swan Lake

Swan Lake tells the tale of Prince Siegfried, the shapeshifting Odette, and the spellbinding sorcerer who shackles their forbidden romance. Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s tranquil melodies glide beneath a moonlit odyssey of longing, forgiveness, and true love, providing an elegant score for this iconic dance masterpiece.

Angel Corella is regarded as one of the finest dancers of his generation. His talent, passion, and technique have brought him worldwide acclaim and established him as one of the most recognizable names in dance. Angel was appointed Artistic Director of Philadelphia Ballet, formerly Pennsylvania Ballet, beginning with the 2014/2015 season.
The music of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky constitutes one of the pillars of the orchestral repertoire and the very foundation of classical ballet. Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable melodies, inventive harmonies, and ground-breaking orchestrations make his music both loveable and eternal. Ballet audiences are fortunate to hear not only the works he intended for dance, such as Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, but also a wide variety of orchestral pieces that have been choreographed by great dance-makers, such as George Balanchine.
